即興默書unseen dictation

2020年新冠病毒肺炎疫情期間，大部分時間也留在家中，大人在家工作，小朋友也不能上學或參與課外活動，因此，大家相處的時間多了。眼見小朋友每天空閒時都拿著手提電話或平板電腦，真是擔心他們放完暑假會執筆忘字，但每天不停跟她們說要多看課外書，要溫習，也實在太囉嗦了，也傷感情。難得的暑假又不能外遊，困在家裏實在很悶呀！

幸好我想了一個益智遊有趣的遊戲，就是 unseen dictation ( 即興默書）。我們家一共四人，包括父母和兩個女兒，女兒分別升讀中一和中四，大家的中英文程度也不差太多。

遊戲規則如下：

（1）我們輪流每人做一次主持，主持負責找一篇大概一百多字的文章，主持負責朗讀文章，其餘三人則默書。

（2）完成默書後主持人負責批改默書。

（3）錯字最少的得第一名，有三分，第二名有兩分，第三名有一分，主持人沒有參與默書所以得零分。

（4）每星期共默書四次作一個循環，其中兩次為中文，兩次為英文，由於每人會做一次主持，所以每人一星期共默書三次。

（5）每星期計算總分一次，勝出的可以選擇週日工人姐姐放假時，午餐的餐廳作獎勵，分數最低的要負責買外賣作為懲罰。

每次默書大概要用30分鐘左右，大家都覺得很有趣，特別是小朋友覺得父母也一起參與，而且有時默得比他們差，他們覺得更加好玩！

我覺得這個遊戲有幾個好處：

（1）這是一個不錯的親子遊戲，大家有很多互動，不用整天對著手提電話和平板電腦。

（2）父母作為主持人可以選一些有趣或有益身心的文章跟孩子分享。例如爸爸選了一些報章新聞，媽媽選了一些關於讀書心得，做人道理的文章，範圍可以非常廣泛。

（3）小朋友為了要選一篇較深的文章，也會看多了書。家長也可藉此觀察小朋友閱讀的興趣和取向，多了解他們的喜好。

（4）其實小朋友在疫情期間固然比較少寫字，大人在工作上也很少寫字，大家都可以藉此機會溫習一下。說真的大人頗多時候，默書的成績比小朋友差呢！

（5）其實有很多中文字和英文字，是主持人也不知道怎樣發音和解釋呢！所以大家事前也要查字典，從中也學到新生字！有一次爸爸查網上字典 apocalypse ( 大災難）怎樣讀，結果其他人都聽到這個發音，馬上查字典，估出串法，大家都「出貓」！透過這個遊戲,大家也認識了新詞匯，而且印象深刻呢！

Ice Bear and Ice Cream

我和女兒構思了一個新遊戲,就是故事創作。

玩法非常簡單, 就是每人輪流說一句說話, 由於不知道對方會說什麼，所以往往故事情節峰迴路轉，意想不到。我們兩個也很享受故事創作的過程，以下便是今天我們一起創作的故事。

Meowy: M S: Sushiball

M: Last Saturday was sunny, Ice Bear went out for a walk.

S: Ice Bear found a shop selling ice cream, but he had no money.

M: He saw Alimeowmeow inside the shop, enjoying his delicious chocolate ice-cream.

S: So Ice Bear came up with a very clever plan to make Alimeowmeow hand over his ice cream.

M: “Hi! How are you Alimeowmeow?” asked Ice Bear.

S: “I am happy. Mmm, this ice cream is REALLY DELICIOUS!”

M: “Wow! Awesome! Do you know that you can triple your happiness by turning one ice cream into 3 ice creams by using the special magic?” said Ice Bear.

S: Alimeowmeow’s eyes became the size of marbles. “Really? What magic?”

M: “There is 99% chance that it will be successful, but 1% chance it will fail. Do you want to try?” asked Ice Bear.

S: Alimeowmeow looked puzzled. “What’s a Per Cent?”

M: “Oh sorry Alimeowmeow! Sorry for making it so complicated! The concept is easy! It means if we try this magic 100 times, 99 times will succeed, but unfortunately one time will fail”, answered Ice Bear.

S: Alimeowmeow looked very upset. “Why one time fail? I want all to succeed!” and he started to cry and bawl loudly.

M: “No worries! I think you are lucky today, because you met me here and I told you about this magic. I believe our trial will be successful!” lied Ice Bear confidently.

S: Alimeowmeow sniffled. “But today I tripped over the same stone three times. That’s one time more than I usually do. Does that mean I am unlucky?” and he started crying again.

M: “Oh my god!” yelled Ice Bear, when he looked at the ground. There were streams of melted chocolate ice cream mixed with Alimeowmeow’s tears!

S: Ice Bear was very, very sad. “I want my ice cream!” and he started crying, too.

M: While Alimeowmeow’s eyes were swelled with tears, he spotted a shiny 10 dollar coin on the floor.

S: “Don’t cry Nice Bear,” said Alimeowmeow. “Thank you for telling me about this special magic! Let’s buy one ice cream with this coin and use the special magic to triple it! Then there will be one for me, one for you, and one for…… me and you?” Ice Bear sighed and nearly fainted due to Alimeowmeow’s stupidity.
