Story of Alimeowmeow 4 Merry xmas

Story by

M: Mum😺     S: Sushiball 😃  G: 飯團貓🐈

S: "Boom!" outside there was a bang of thunder. Alimeowmeow jumped and hid behind his toothpick.
M: "It is Christmas Eve! Too bad there is thunderstorm! Will Santa Claus deliver Christmas gifts to children tonight?" thought Alimeowmeow.
S: "When Santa Claus comes, he will be wet and cold, " he thought. "I guess there are no umbrellas in North Pole. I should give him something warm and snuggly. " he thought of giving Santa Claus his toothpick, but it was his trusty weapon.
G: So Alimeowmeow decided to bake a batch of cookies for Santa. However, due to his lack of experience in using an oven, he accidentally set the kitchen on fire.
M: "Help! Someone please help me! My ice cream is melting! " shouted Alimeowmeow.
S: "Ho ho ho ho!" Alimeowmeow looked up and saw Santa Claus. He put out the fire with a big red bag. But it also gave Alimeowmeow a bubble bath. "Big fat oops! I thought it was water, " wailed the careless Santa Claus.
G: Alimeowmeow was very pissed at Santa. He thought Santa was supposed to be smart and all-knowing, instead of this careless idiot who was standing right in front of him.
M: "Where is my Christmas Gift?" asked Alimeowmeow. He was so excited and impatient that he fetched Santa's big red bag!
S: "Kaboom!" the bag exploded! IT WAS ALL BIG BAGS OF BUBBLE BATH!
G: This is a scam, Alimeowmeow thought to himself, as he glared intensely at Santa. This kid is so rude, Santa thought to himself as he glared intensely back at Alimeowmeow
M: The atmosphere was very tense. The world seemed to have stopped!
S: Suddenly, they realized everyone from the village had come to Alimeowmeow's home. They were all having free bubble bath!
G: Alimeowmeow was super annoyed. This was the worst Christmas ever! Just as he was drowning in despair, somebody came over.
M: 'Excuse me, did you see someone dress like Santa Claus around? He escaped from the asylum and we need to take him back as he is very dangerous!', said the police.
S: Everyone stared at Santa Claus. He yelled in fright and the policeman chased him back to the asylum.
G: Suddenly, the policeman staggered and fell down onto the floor as if hit by an invisible force. WAHAHAHAHAHA! Santa cackled loudly while holding a long whip in his hands. "Enjoy your Christmas!" he roared as he hopped onto a disgruntled Rudolph and took off into the night sky.
M: Suddenly, there was bright light shooting across the sky. It was a meteorite, hitting Santa and he and his Rudolph was shot down into the Pacific ocean.
S: Then it rained again, washing Alimeowmeow's tank clean. Everyone ran away because it was cold to stand in the open without a bubble bath (or any clothes! 😏)
G: Then, the real Santa came along. He looked in disbelief at the naked people running back towards their houses.
M: Santa thought it might be the custom of the village to be naked. It would be very rude to wear clothes. So, he took off all his clothes except his red Santa hat.
S: Alimeowmeow was very frustrated. This was the worst Christmas ever!
G: Was this another fake Santa? Why was he naked again? Suddenly, a Santa with clothes came charging towards the naked Santa. The naked villagers watched in awe as the 2 Santas started fighting while claiming that the other Santa was a hoax.
S: Alimeowmeow was no longer angry. He thought, "Let me go get some popcorn," and fetched it from his tank. The villagers cheered as Alimeowmeow threw the popcorn into the crowd. They all sat gobbling up the food while watching the Santas fight.

Story by Sushiball & Mum

M: Mum😺     S: Sushiball 😃

M: “BANG! BANG! BANG!” Alimeowmeow heard some big sound from upstairs.

S: He was very scared. 😰

M: He wondered what happened, and he stuck his head into his shell to protect himself.

S: Suddenly, there was another loud “BANG” and Alimeowmeow nearly jumped a mile.

M: “Mami said I should be brave as a boy! I should not hide inside my turtle shell!” murmured Alimeowmeow.

S: He held up a toothpick as a weapon and crept upstairs as slow as he could.

M: He met Meowy on the way upstairs and he invited Meowy to join the adventure.

S: When they were nearly at the top of the staircase, Alimeowmeow saw Ice Bear. He invited him to join the duo and Ice Bear brought an ice cream cone to ‘attack’ the intruder.

M: They arrived at the doorstep and they were discussing whether to bump in or press the doorbell.

S: While they were bickering and pushing about, Alimeowmeow bumped into Meowy who bumped into Ice Bear who bumped into his ice cream cone which bumped into the doorbell. “RRRING!” Uh-oh.

M: Silence…… You could even hear the sound of a needle dropping on the floor as the gang was panicking and wondering what to do next. Run away? Or attack?

S: “I want my mami!” Alimeowmeow wailed, and started  crying and hollering at the top of his lungs. That was as good as marching into the room deliberately and alerting the intruder.

M: Suddenly, they heard slippers coming close to the door……

S: Ice Bear hid behind his ice cream cone which hid behind Meowy who hid behind Alimeowmeow who hid behind his toothpick. Suddenly, Meowy’s eyes widened and she yelled, “WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY PET COCKROACH?”
M: It was Meowlody who opened the door, wearing his favourite blue slippers. He just murdered COCKY using his slippers!

S: “Intruder!” said Alimeowmeow, who had pulled out a handkerchief as a blindfold because he was so scared. He prodded Meowlody with his toothpick (not to mention it broke in the process) and Ice Bear jammed his ice cream cone at Meowlody. Ice cream dribbled all over his chin and he said, “Mmm! Delicious!”

M: Meowlody was delighted to see so many visitors, and he greeted them with a big feast. He put strawberry on Alimeowmeow’s broken toothpick, and gave Ice Bear an ice cream ball on his cone. He gave Meowy a fresh fish.

S: (He also gave Meowy her dead but beloved cockroach to bury, which made her scream.)
M: Alimeowmeow learnt a lesson. “BANG BANG is like the bell for big feast invitation! Yummy!” BUUUURRP!

Story of Ali-meowmeow #2

Sushiball

M: Once upon a time, in an old village far far away from the city, there was no electricity.

S: The villagers used their farts to power their homes.

M: They thought it was very environmental friendly as that was natural gas!

S: Unfortunately, the ‘natural gas’ stunk half of them to death.

M: One day, the cleverest villager Alimeowmeow had a fantastic idea to resolve this problem.

S: He suggested they eat tastier food so that their farts would not be so smelly. He thought it was a marvelous idea and he was so clever.

M: So, everyone ate what they thought as TASTY FOOD. For Alimeowmeow, he ate porky sticks.

S: The villagers became very fat. Even worse, they started farting even SMELLIER farts.

M: The villagers needed to wear oxygen masks any time any where to protect themselves from death!

S: They were very angry with Alimeowmeow. Because of his ‘fantastic’, ‘marvellous’, and ‘clever’ idea, they were suffering from asthma and serious obesity.

M: The villagers went to seek help from Meowy God by visiting the Meowy temple.

S: Meowy God was delighted that they were so desperate to solve this problem. She said, ‘If you give me lots of fish, I will help you solve your problem.’

M: The villagers thought that Meowy God was not kind and too greedy. So, they decided to destroy the temple.

S: Meowy God was very very angry. She cursed them to be forever haunted by terrible smells and punished the villagers by making stupid Alimeowmeow the leader of the village.

M: Milo God felt sorry for the villagers but she could not change the curse. So, she made another spell to remove noses from all villagers so that they would never suffer from the stinky smell. How clever and kind she was!!!

S: At first, the villagers were grateful to Milo God’s enchantment. But later, they found out that they could not smell ANYTHING. They would rather have Milo God to leave them alone and return their noses.

M: Milo God was upset about the villagers’ feedback. However, she was kind and she made another spell by making 2 tiny nostrils on the original nose position to let them smell.

S: The villagers did not know how to feel about Milo God’s response to their feedback. However, one person was very happy – and it was Alimeowmeow. Because he had had 2 tiny nostrils at the beginning, it made no difference!

How to Stop Worrying and Start Living

How to Stop Worrying and Start Living (by Dale Carnegie)

*** Seven Ways to Peace and Happiness ***

1.Find Yourself and Be Yourself: Remember, there is no one else on earth like you.
      • Let's not imitate others. Let's find ourselves and be ourselves.
    2. Four Good Working Habits that will help prevent fatigue and worry.
      • Clear your desk of all papers except those relating to the immediate problem at hand.
      • Do things in the order of their importance
      • When you face a problem, solve it then and there if you have the facts necessary to make a decision. Don't keep putting off decisions.
      • Learn to organize, deputize, and supervise.
    3. What makes you tired - and what you can do about it
      • Psychiatrists delcare that most of our fatigue derives from our mental and emotional attitudes.
      • Relax in odd moments. Let your body go limp like an old sock.
      • Work, as much as possible, in a comfortable position. Remember that tensions on the body produce aching shoulders and nervous fatigue.
    4. How to Banish the boredom that produces fatigue, worry, and resentment.
      • Give yourself a pep talk every day. "Our life is what our thoughts make it!"
      • By talking to yourself about the things you have to be grateful for, you can fill your mind with thoughts that soar and sign.
    5. Would you take a million dollars for what you have?
      • count your blessings - not your troubles!
    6. Remember that no one ever kicks a dead dog
      • Remember that unjust criticism is often a disguised compliment. Remember that no one ever kicks a dead dog.
    7. Do this - and criticism cant' hurt you
      • When you and I are unjustly criticized, let's remember to:
      • Do the very best you can; and then put up your old umbrella and keep the rain of criticism from running down the back of your neck.

    Good Quotes:

    1)Douglas Malloch:
If you can't be a pine on the top of the hill,
Be a scrub in the valley - but be
    The best little scrub by the side of the rill;
Be a bush, if you can't be a tree.

If you can't be a bush, be a bit of the grass,
    And some highway happier make;
If you can't be a muskie, then just be a bass -
But the liveliest bass in the lake!

We can't all be captains, we've got to be crew,
There's something for all of us here.
There's big work to do and there's lesser to do
And the task we must do is the near.

If you can't be a highway, then just be a trail,
    If you can't be the sun, be a star;
If isn't by size that you win or you fail -
Be the best of whatever you are!

I hand the blues because I had no shoes,
Until upon the street, I met a man who had no feet.

    2) Lincoln (about criticism:
"If I were to try to read, much less to answer all the attacks made on me, this shop might as well be closed for any other business. I do the very best I know how - the very best I can; and I mean to keep on doing so until the end. If the end brings me out all right, then what is said against me won't matter. If the end brings me out wrong, then ten angels swearing was right would make no difference."

    (C) Win People to the Way of Your Thinking

Principle 3: Talk about your own mistakes before criticizing the other person.
Principle 4: Ask questions instead of giving direct orders.
Principle 5: Let the other person save face.
Principle 6: Praise the slightest improvement and praise every improvement. Be "hearty in your approbation and lavish in your praise."
Principle 7: Give the other person a fine reputation to live up to.

Principle 9: Make the other person happy about doing the thing you suggest.

    (E) Seven Rules for Making Your Home Life Happier
    Rule 1: Don't nag.
Rule 2: Don't try to make your partner over.
    Rule 3: Don't criticize.
    Rule 4: Give honest appreciation.
    Rule 5: Pay little attentions.
    Rule 6: Be courteous.

    Good Quotes from the book:
    (1) Ben Franklin : If you agree and rankle and contradict, you may achieve a victory sometimes; but it will be an empty victory because you will never get your opponent's good will.
    (2) Better give your path to a dog than be bitten by him in contesting for the right. Even killing the dog would not cure the bite.
    (3) Antoine de Saint-Expuery: I have no right to say or do anything that diminishes a man in his own eyes. What matters is not what I think of him, but what he things of himself. Hurting a man in his dignity is a crime.
    (4) Trivialities not love is going hurts my days. But that it went in little ways.
    (5) Opera tenor Jan Peerce, after he was married nearly fifty years, once said: "My wife and I made a pact a long time ago, and we've kept it no matter how angry we've grown with each other. When one yells, the other should listen - because when two people yell, there is no communication, just noise and bad vibrations."
    (6) From article "Bits and Pieces", published by the Economics Press Fairfield, N.J.:
    • Welcome the disagreement. Remember the slogan, "When two partners alwaysa agree, one of them is not necessary." If there is some point you haven't thought about, be thankful if it is brought to your attention. Perhaps this disagreement is your opportunity to be corrected before you make a serious mistake.
    • Distrust your first instinctive impression. Our first natural reaction in a disagreement situation is to be defensive. Be careful. Keep calm and watch out for your first reaction. It may be you at your worst, not your best.
    • Control your temper. Remember, you can measure the size of a person by what makes him or her angry.
    • Listen first. Give your opponents a chance to talk. Let them finish. Do not resist, defend or debate. This only raises barriers. Try to build bridges of understanding. Don't build higher barriers of misunderstanding.
    • Look for areas of agreement. When you have heard your opponents out, dwell first on the points and areas on which you agree.
    • Be honest, Look for areas where you can admit error and say so. Apologize for your mistakes. It will help disarm your opponents and reduce defensiveness.
    • Promise to think over your opponents' ideas and study them carefully. And mean it. Your opponents may be right. It is a lot easier at the stage to agree to think about their points than to move rapidly ahead and find yourself in a position where your opponents can say: "We tried to tell you, but you wouldn't listen."
    • Thank your opponents sincerely for their interest. Anyone who takes the time to disagree with you is interested in the same things you are. Think of them as people who really want to help you, and you may turn your opponents into friends.
    • Postpone action to give both sides time to think through the problem. Sugest that a new meeting be held later that day or the next day, when all the facts may be brought to bear. In preparation for this meeting, ask yourself some hard questions:
      • Could my opponents be right? Pratly right?
      • Is there truth or merit in their position or argument?
      • Is my reaction one that will relieve the problem, or will it just relieve any frustration?
      • Will my reaction drive my opponents further away or draw them close to me?
      • Will my reaction elevate the estimation good people have of me?
      • Will I win or lose?
      • What price will I have to pay if I win?
      • If I am quite about it, will the disagreement blow over?
      • Is this difficult situation an opportunity for me?

    The Quest

One day, Tom’s uncle asked him to meet him secretly in the study. There, Tom’s uncle told him he wanted Tom to find a dragon’s egg.
Tom nearly jumped out of his skin. “A dragon’s egg?”
His uncle nodded solemnly. “Yes. Some unqualified biologists named Keepers — led by a very clever man named Marius — want to steal this egg to win themselves money and fame. We must preserve it and keep it safe.”

“There’s a cave in the center of the valley,” Tom’s uncle told him. “The egg’s inside.”
He handed him a map. “It is a very long way,” he warned. “Beware.”
He held Tom’s hand for a brief moment, then he looked away.
Tom put the map in his rucksack and left the laboratory. From there, he took a train which led straight to the mountains. When he arrived, it was already dark, and he rented an inn to stay for the night.
Three men were staying in the room opposite Tom’s. As Tom got ready for bed, he heard one of them say outside, “Do you reckon William sent him? Marius won’t be pleased.”
Tom straightened - William was his uncle’s name.
“Nah, he can’t have. Hurry up, Jordan - we’re going to the valley straightaway tomorrow.”
As Tom lay down in his bed, his heart hammered in his chest.
     The Keepers! They were here!

Tom woke up early and went all the way to the valley. The Keepers appeared not to have arrived yet, and relief washed over Tom’s face.
The valley was dry and rugged, with rocks scattered over it. Tom walked on.
    “Ow!”
He tripped and twisted his ankle badly.
    “Rats,” he grumbled.
Tom limped towards the valley’s center. A small cave came into view, and he launched himself inside. A huge dragon’s egg was shining in the middle.
Suddenly, as Tom’s fingers brushed the egg, a loud voice sounded. “Rowle! It’s up here!”
    Rowle came up. “Royal?”
“I’ve found the cave, come up here now! JORDAN!” Royal bellowed.
The three men entered the cave. Tom’s injured leg lagged behind him as he thrust himself up to a tree stump, his arms hugging the dragon’s egg — he felt a feeling of despair — he would never reach the stump in time —
    “GET THAT BOY!” Royal howled.
Both Jordan and Rowle lunged at once. Tom stumbled and ran as fast as he could out of the cave.
      “STOP RIGHT THERE!”
     Tom’s shoulders sagged in relief.
“Don’t move,” his uncle emerged. “I’m calling the police.”

“My nephew’s a witness,” William said later to the police. “You can get Marius for questioning - and these here.”
“Very good,” the policeman nodded. “We’ll arrest them.”
As he handcuffed the three and left, William put his hand on Tom’s shoulder.
“I’m quite proud of you,” he said gruffly. “You managed to get the egg back before the Keepers - and outsmart them in time. Good job, Tom.”

    Rain Raider

Sometimes, important outdoor events are cancelled because of the rain. If I could invent a machine, it would solve this problem by absorbing the water in clouds.
I would call it the Rain Raider. It would be extremely tall with a long solid silver tube made of steel. Being waterproof, it would have a huge container to hold the water. The tube sucks water from the clouds like a vacuum cleaner. Powered by electricity from its solar panels, it could charge on sunny days. When the water flows from the tube into the container, it generates electricity that helps power itself and other electronic devices. Therefore, the Rain Raider could save energy.
The Rain Raider would ensure that the rain does not affect our daily activities. People could organize activities more conveniently with such an amazing invention. With more bright and sunny days, I am sure children would love this machine too!

    Poem: Dilemma

    #Dilemma

Hong Kong is a busy place
    For people of all kinds
    People rich, people old
    Homeless people in the cold.

Hong Kong is a peaceful place
For many people of any race
While some people leap and play
    Wage-earners will worry all day.

Dilemmas in Hong Kong, problems to resolve
Some so big that everyone’s involved
Open your eyes and help Hong Kong
To fix the dilemma and help keep us strong.

Unite the poor, change their lives
Fix our dilemma, and we will survive
Donate to the poor, and the charities
To help people of different varieties.

There is dilemma to be made right
The rich and poor fighting day and night
Hong Kong can be a better place for us all
If we all answer to each other’s call.

    What are true friends?

Friendship is a true thing, but not every friend is true, and how do you know which is true, which is fake? You could look at your friend and real friends usually say “Hi” or “Hello”. If they don’t say these words, that means they are not real friends.

If they said, “We are best friends forever!” You surely don’t know the truth. You could try and look at her/him and see if she/he smiles.

However, if friends burst into tears, what shall you do?
You should make her/him happy, and try to make him/her think you are a true friend.

But some friends not only have you to be his/her friend. So, if another friend of him/her comes and make your friend happy, try not to think that she/he isn’t your friend, try to help another friend to make them happy.

Fake friends don’t play with you, but true friends think about how much they respect you. You should respect them to make them feel you are real friend. Don’t try to lose friends and especially true ones.

Treasure the chance getting so many friends, think about other people, think of the ones having few or no friends.

If you see your friend at a place, say “Hi”or “Hello”, but if you see your friend at the cars and see that your friend is looking at his/her dad or mom’s phone, ask her don’t do this. However, do it after the bus/car ride, but you have to be clear that he/she is a real friend. Otherwise, if you don’t know he/she is real or fake friend, then don’t say anything.

Don’t guess by looking at them, use ideas (behavior) to know them. If you guess, I’m not sure you’re right, because you are not an angel. You are just a dog/human, try making friends by looking back at times they argue. Trust friends that love is real, because trusting friends make you find that it’s really true.

If you forget, try to remember. Otherwise, do it again. However, if you don’t want to, I can’t help you.

    Editor’s comment:
This is Emily’s philosophy about friendship, how to tell if a friend is true or fake, and we should treasure our friendship.

The Lovely Queen and the Lovely Golden Bird

One day, a lovely Queen woke up and saw a beautiful Golden Bird at her window. She thought it was cute so she picked the Golden Bird up and gave her food everyday.
As she came to the palace, she said, “No body can take away this beautiful Golden Bird.” But the thief wanted to steal the magic Golden Bird.

So the thief got some poison and he made it into some medicine. He turned himself into an ugly old witch. The poison could get the Queen to sleep forever.
However, the King learnt this and told the Queen that a thief was making a poison. He asked the Queen to stay at home.

    The king had a plan:
“When the thief was in the palace, he will ask me where is the Queen. I will say I don’t know. Then he will come to your house, and you must pretend to sleep.”

The palace was close to the Queen’s house. However, finally the Queen was captured by the thief. The Golden Bird followed, and was staying there to sing her magic song everyday.
The Queen loved the Golden Bird so much, she said, “I will never let you fly away.”

One day, the Queen wanted to have a ride to escape, so the Golden Bird gave the Queen a ride. The Golden Bird flew a long time and they escaped successfully.
The Golden Bird was happy to stay with such a lovely Queen, so she was always with the Queen.

    Editor’s comments:
Unlike the classic story of Nightingale, the Golden Bird and the Queen stays together forever and they both enjoy each other’s company. It is very creative. The bird is so big that it can even carry the Queen to fly away!

    Crazy Things

“Hello Grandpa, why do you come today? Can we play toys?” asked Emily.

“No! I want to play crazy things. What is silly and has a tongue?” asked Grandpa.

“I know, sad face!” replied Emily.

“No! A human take her tongue out”, said Grandpa.

“Tell me another please, Grandpa!” begged Emily.

“OK! Now what is the second word come after crazy?” asked Grandpa.

    “I don’t know”, said Emily.

    “Things!” replied Grandpa.

    “Boring Question!” said Emily.

    Grandpa left.

Several minutes later … The door was opened again.

“Hey! Why do you come back?” asked Emily.

“Hey! My daughter, Grandpa hasn’t come back, and it is time to drink your milk and do your homework!” said Mum.

    Editor’s comments:
This book is a continuation of last book “Flying Things & Crazy Things”. Emily just enjoyed making silly riddles, but the character has changed from Grandma to Grandpa. Emily’s grandparents come to visit us frequently. Therefore, Emily has put Grandma and Grandpa to be the main characters of her books.

    Flying Things & Crazy Things

“Hello Gran! Why do you come today?”, asked Emily.
“Because I come to tell you crazy things and flying things”, said Gran.
“Can we play memory card?”, asked Emily.
“No. I came to play with you,” said Gran.
    “Play what?” asked Emily.
“I came to play flying things and crazy things now!” said Gran.
“What things can fly and have four legs….hm….. answers? OK. The answer is Two birds!” said Gran.
“Gran, tell me another please!” begged Emily.
“What machine do crocodiles make?…hm…”asked Gran.
“Gran tell me the answer, please!” said Emily.
    “Crocodile Machine”, said Gran.
“What does it mean?” asked Emily.
“It means a rolling crocodile machine toy!” said Gran.
    Boring question...

    Editor (Meowy)’s comments:
This book was stimulated by the Oxford Reading Books. Inside the book series, Gran is a very funny grandmum with crazy ideas and behavior. The first riddle from this book actually came from the Oxford storybook. The second riddle was made up by Emily. During that time, she loved to make up riddles and asked the family to guess the answer during dinner time.

    Daily Life (2013 July)

    Book about Jasminie

    published on 2013.July.7

By Jasmine when she was 1 year old

A good sunny day people on Earth were all animals. All of them circled around a little dog, Jasmine.
At lunch time, Priscilla and some girls at the dinner table said “You look like a peanut!” This make Jasmine unhappy.

They put Jasmine in prison. All of them shouted, “Put her in Prison!” The animals shouted.
So Gigi helped Emily put Jasmine in prison. “No! I am good!”, shouted Jasmine, but they could not hear her.

During the sad years of Jasmine, she said, “One day I would die…One day soon…”

Jasmine was right, she died one day. However, she did not go to Heaven. She was an angel!
She went back to human world. Everyone did not recognize her, but she recognized them.

Back at Angel Land, Jasmine spoke to the angels and told him why she was there.
Jasmine was not living in human land. Now, she lived in Angel World!
Now you know why there was a book named Daily Life.

This book is written by Jasmine.

    Editor (Meowy)’s comments:
This is the first DIY book by Emily, when she 4.5 years old only. I spotted quite a number of spelling and grammatical mistakes and helped to correct them. Very simple story. One main gist is sometimes in daily life, good people may be treated badly due to discrimination or bully by others. For example, inside the story, Jasmine was sent to prison because she looked like a peanut! Interesting story from the eyes of a 4.5 years old girl. Emily pretended herself is Jasmine at one year old to write this book, so that is why the author is Jasmine instead of Emily. Later I interviewed Emily, she said this story book was inspired by her experience of being bullied.
